Fabulously pure, this wine is replete with fragrances and flavors of field strawberry-water and watermelon essence. That is to say that it is rather delicate. Elegant and discreet, however, are not suggestions of weakness. In fact, this rosé has loads of concentrated flavor and a lovely, mouthcoating texture followed by a whisper of acidic lift.. Everything is perfectly in tune here with minerally and savory – almost smoky – notes nicely balancing the youthful and succulent red fruit. The medium finish dances around saline characteristics. Between the gorgeous balance and the beautiful, unusual packaging this will appeal to a broad crowd. I’d stock it as my house rosé this year!
