Jean-Marc Brocard 2014 Chablis Sainte Claire
This even-keeled and focused bottling isn’t polarizing either in strident leanness or teeth-stripping acidity. Its nose shows classic Chablis traits of oyster shells and chalk. Its light-bodied palate follows with equally typical flavors of juicy Meyer lemon and Canary melon. A true pleasure to sip, this is a fine example of how Chablis has charmed so many wine lovers for so long. Enjoy early on for its perky freshness, through 2017. 88

La Chablisienne 2014 Petit Chablis Pas Si Petit
This cuvée is composed of fruit from over 280 grape growers dedicated to one of France's best cooperatives! Its laser-like acidity initially gives the wine a chiseled feel on the palate, but a swarm of fruit quickly follows to make this accessible and easy to sip. There are flavors of green apple, sweet yellow pears and even a hint of cinnamon, even though this wine sees no wood contact. Drink on the early side, within two years of harvest. 89

Domaine du Colombier 2014 Petit Chablis
This wine has terrific energy. It’s light, taut, pure and almost fiery with freshness. Its zippy acidity contributes an attractive tugging texture on the mid-palate that keeps the moderately concentrated fruit feeling boisteriously youthful. Tasting of lemon pith, sweet Key Lime and yuzu, this is a delightful citrus bomb with a pleasant, moreish finish. Drink while it’s young and snappy, through 2016!

Domaine Vorcoret 2014 Chablis
This classic Chablis over-delivers for a village level wine. Sublimely harmonious and polished, it smells of chalk dust, steamed white asparagus, fresh-cut grass and yellow grapefruit peel. Vivacious acidity gives this wine terrific palate cleansing power. The finish shows an intriguing hint of savory vegetable broth and lingers long enough to suggest this wine can hang on a while. Drink through 2018.
